Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actress and producer. She has gained recognition for her outstanding roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. Holly Hunter was awarded numerous prizes which included an Oscar for her movie Piano. The successful actress began her career in acting by performing on stage, by performing in a myriad of Broadway and Off-Broadway projects. Enthusiastic about acting from the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in the fifth grade. Mumps led her to lose hearing in one her ear, however this didn't stop the actress from following her dreams. In her teens she studied drama, and then moved in New York City. Hunter had her Broadway debut due to a chance encounter and Beth Henley, a playwright. The two worked together in Broadway Crimes of the Heart. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. The role she was offered came as an actress who played the main character in Swing Shift. Her career spans more than 30 years, and she's been featured in a variety of TV films as well as series and films. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
